Issue most probably is, that you dont have serial key of original game in bundle. Dont use steam support, if you will have more than 2 hours played. Steam support doesnt exist. I only played the single player game, and yes it’s about time that I finally played through this wonderful single player campaign. The graphics engine that DICE created for this game way back almost 8 years ago still looks great, until you get close up to walls or other materials. The game was smooth, it was entertaining, it looked great, the smoke from the gun fire and explosions really played well into making the gun fights challenging when under heavy fire. Your squad does help, but mostly it’s up to you to make it all happen.

There are a variety of weapons though you can only carry two at a time. I found my automatic rifle and my sniper rifle to be the best two to carry. The storyline had its moments, though nothing to really brag about. I did enjoy those moments of humanity during the war segments. I especially liked the helicopter hippy, great character.The sound I found to be excellent. The echo in a room with my shell cassings dropping compared to the sound it makes when you are outside was fantastic. Overall sound was top notch as was the music when it came on.

The single player campaign was short, but maybe if it was longer I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much as it wasn’t altogether that repetitive other than the gunfights which were welcomed each and every time. The game is split between vehicle segments where you control the vehicle and gun, rail segments where you fly or drive but only get to control a gun, and then of course the on foot segments with the aforementioned gun fights.

gunplay has a crisp accurate feel to it not slowed down by pointless animation lag, movement and aiming is more like counter-strike or quake… direct movement, instead of the slower more sluggish (and yeah probably more realistic) movement you get in newer battlefield games. this crisp sharp aiming and movement is only helped by the several hundred FPS possible with a half decent GPU,

In game i see dozens of servers with active players with pings ranging from 20ms to 700ms… meaning (at a guess) there are still active servers all over the world.audio is better than most of the later battlefield games in nearly all situations. in fact I would go so far as to call the audio “perfect”, players emit barks when spotting which can give away your position, walking makes you quiet, running makes you louder, ect..
