Game of Hearts earth sees the start of the next successor conflict. Once controlled by a formidable demon, a seat at the high table became vacant for no apparent reason. Other lesser demons stirred from their strongholds, each hoping to rise to the pinnacle of power when they saw an opportunity to take over. It was a game that really won my heart. Though it’s still far enough from completion to be finished, there’s enough content to genuinely appreciate it and know the developer has struck gold. The story is engaging and intriguing, and the visuals are fantastic. The plot and H-scenes are well-balanced. Very outstanding work. It is challenging to pursue your second follower without experiencing remorse, just like the MC does. Since she is with you through no fault of her own, the woman in issue is inherently kind and sweet, and you can’t help but feel horrible for her.

Because of what she had to do with you to rescue her husband from the precarious predicament he finds himself in, she also bears a great deal of guilt. Some characters (like the purple haired woman) are only shown but their role is not explained yet. The plot is basically still in its infancy and the main reason is the huge amount of sex scenes compared to actual plot scenes. There is some talk about imminent danger and the need to acquire power (by having lots of sex) and minigames surrounding the sex, that seems to reward healthy buildup to intimacy instead of going to town and abusing the demonic power. But it’s still just sex, it’s not really driving the plot forward, it explains nothing and the women are all potential damsels in distress, lacking charisma and influence.
