Pneumata will scare even the most seasoned horror players. I had to leave a review for this because it’s getting bashed so hard and I think unfairly. It’s not so bad, the atmosphere is great, it looks great, and it’s interesting enough to bring me back. I haven’t played as much as I’d like just because I’m busy working. It has issues for sure, but i’m pretty sure it’s a solo dev so these issues are easy to miss when you’re working on your own, I’ll have faith they’ll work to iron out the kinks. Throughout the beginning stages of the game you are being chased by what looks like psychos with pig heads on, but one of my major issues with the enemy AI has to do with one of the bigger enemies that was delivered in a cage. The monster design was pretty cool, but on my playthrough I barely got a good fight with this guy. The guy aggroed immedietly after his cutscene and then proceed to get stuck attacking through a gate – talk about anticlimatic. Once again, basic playtest issue. Secondly, the voice acting is not great. I have played worse but I have also played a lot of better indie games that have better voice acting. This takes away from the immersion in a huge way.
