It’s hard to recommend this without caveats. On top of production value shortcomings in the game’s presentation, including inconsistent sprite resolution, animation and sound bugs, etc., the gameplay is rough around the edges. Faulty enemy pursuer AI makes chases more annoying than scary or intense, and most of my trial-and-error deaths were because the game would either not make its logic intuitive or I would flat out have some input glitch. The game feels at its best when you’re just exploring, solving puzzles; the typical adventure game item-gathering is smartly designed here. However, even that started getting tedious by the end, during a chapter where you’re loading back and forth between environments to solve puzzles, and sitting through the same transition cutscene every time.
