Humans had the silly idea of bringing dinosaurs back to life, and ever since, relationships between the two species have been strained. No dinosaurs wanted to become a cop, so you were created in a laboratory to become the only dinosaur cop. Every day, you ask yourself: are you making the world better for your dino peers, or are you just a tool of human propaganda? This game definitely lays it on a little thick with its political messaging, but it was very enjoyable. You could probably tell from the description alone if this game is for you, and if you don’t really agree with the messaging going in it’s probably not gonna turn you. The villains in the story are cartoonishly evil. They balance this out by making some of the protagonist characters a bit insufferable, or at least they try to because it doesn’t come across super well. Egging On

Still, characters were good, interesting enough to make you actually want to investigate and learn more about them. As far as the dinosaur influences go, it’s all pop culture stuff pretty much, and it’s all over the place. Kinda irks me that the character that’s supposed to be a psittacosaurus was like twice the size of a human. It’s not paleontologically accurate in the slightest, but there’s no law saying it has to be lol. I think the liberties they took suited the game’s style very well in the end. DinoCop is silly but provides a genuinely satisfying mystery. I did have to resort to the community for some puzzles, but never felt like the game was unfair.
