There’s not really a lot to say here about the actual Warmastered Edition vs the original, which I played way back on Xbox. So I’ll just say that it’s completely fine and adequately updates the game with modern resolutions and controller support plus includes the tiny bit of dlc. That said, if you have no problem playing the original and don’t care for the very few tweaks, this is a bit of a hard sell.

To everyone else, the game is a fairly standard Zelda-like made by Joe Mad, and his influence shines through both in the obvious comic-book style of art design and also the story itself seeming like it got adapted from a scrapped WildStorm comic. There’s a basic mix of combat and puzzle-solving with the occasional backtracking to get upgrades after acquiring a new ability from a dungeon, but not to the extent that you’d get in a metroidvania where entire sections of the map are off limits until you find the right ability.

This game is like original God of War(in terms of mechanics) for PC, that’s honestly the reason I bought it before because I don’t have a Playstation. If you want OP powers, you will get them. There are no wrong builds. I think this is a solid game, plain and simple. A bit grindy if you want everything max.Buy the Harvester and NEVER switch to Scythe. You want to upgrade this early if you want to cut short your grinding. One-two combo is better than pushing the button three times because you level up your weapons based on the number of hits and combos.
