Another great game which has gone unnoticed. Thanks to the “Hidden Gem Discovery” Group on Steam, I could experience this, thanks again! It’s a nice mix of Breakout games, with some Space Invaders and I feel a bit like some good old Sonic Spinball too, because of the bosses and ball physics. Game is quite short, but there’s a few hard achievements if you like these. Replayability is not much a thing here, except for the daily run, but still, I don’t see myself play this everyday.
I feel like the dev behind this dropped it (sadly 🙁 ) because the game over/end screen shows “Stage 1-X“, I immediately thought that it would maybe have more stages because of this. But market is harsh, when your game gets through without a noise, and most of the time, many great concepts like this one are left in the dark, like a treasure only a few might find.
Oh well, it’s a shame, really, but what can we do. If you give this a go, you will have a nice hour or some! Played the game for 4 hours (including 1 hour on live stream). Here are my thoughts. The game is simple in design, straight-forward and delivers what it says it is. Minimalistic gameplay, retro graphics and a chiptune style soundtrack. The game handles similar to the classic Arkanoid, but with the difference of bouncing off of moving targets and fighting the large boss bulwarks. Gameplay is smooth and the varioius powerups can be fun to mess with in all the possible combinations.
