All the other ambient, environmental sounds also combine to create one of the most tense, foreboding atmospheres I have ever heard in a game. Great idea to make your character be a defenseless 2 year old child. I have never felt so weak or helpless in any game. The consistency with which this game presents that first-person perspective is excellent. You walk poorly. You crawl faster but then can’t see as well. Everything is tall and most things seem hopelessly out-of-reach. You wind up constantly looking for things to hide beneath, just in case.

There’s no gore in this entire game but I found it to be one of the more creepy games I’ve ever played. Although this game is about a little kid, this game is not intended for little kids I think. Don’t forget to play the ‘prologue’ in the level select menu. It is possibly even better than the main game However, it might be best to play it after you play the main game.

This game features unlockable making-of extras in the form of a 3D museum of sorts. I think it would have been better to have ALL included background information about this game unlocked by default instead of hidden behind a requirement to collect various children’s drawings during the game. Why hide your work the controls can be clunky at times. It is overly difficult to climb onto objects or to lift your feet over short changes in elevation. Sometimes you cannot easily get into cabinets or onto shelves which should be (and appear to be) easy to get into or onto.
