Don’t pay the full price under get it on steam sale or something and get version that has all dlcs , game works fine graphics are good but is abandoned by devs themselves, online is almost dead if u have 1 to 3 other friends who have fun playing together get this game you wont regret it . apart from this the weapon attachment system is is bad, all attachment are random eg: u get shotgun with 8x scope and cant change it, the game will mostly give you weapons with 20 round clip or something like that u cant change it(its annoying), theres m4 or ak in shop with bigger mag but it also has 8x scope, also weapons feel underpowered specially mg which u get with random 4x scope and does half dmg, some weapons could use rework, eg: minigun which looks like they just copy pasted from LFD2 and still managed to make it worse.
The campaign is divided into 6 acts (base game contains first 3 acts and the rest is in dlcs along with new characters thus the season pass) acts are divided into chapters and chapters into maps so for example act 1 consists of 4 chapters and those 4 chapters have 13 maps overall. The twist is that you only have 2 retries for the whole act so if you fail twice before you finish the act that run is considered a failure and you will have to start from the begining. Just because of this mechanic alone you either have to hope for randoms that know what they are doing or you will have to communicate to get through, another thing that needs communication is weapons choice. Long gone are the L4D days where ammo boxes were unlimited and universal for all weapons, now chests hold certain ammount of ammo boxes and if it happens that the team all use the same weapon type for example assault rifle then there won’t be enough ammo for all of you thus you need to keep an eye at who use what.
Ofc there are weapon mods, accessories, burn cards, corruption cards, team effects, cosmetics you can unlock etc. So yea the content is there, it certainly isn’t same level of replayability as L4D but still you can sink in some serious hours with no problem and if you are done with campaign you can always find a ridden hive or play trials of the worm. Get in on sale and give it a shot and once you understand at least the basics of what I’ve tried to describe above I think you will get your moneys worth.
