The game tracks ingame time and various actions takes different amounts of time to complete. And it matters. There is enough content for 2-3 playthroughs with a fair amount of unique content. If you wanted to experience absolutely everything contained in this game I’d guess there is enough for somewhere between 6-10 playthroughs, but with most of the content being repetitions. That said I don’t know if any dialogue-fork combinations result in unique content, which in case would increase the number of playthroughs necessary to experience it all fully.
It’s all text-based with background pictures setting the atmosphere and scene. It’s tasteful but simple. The sound is best muted, I play with my own Tidal-tracks running in the background. There is only ever one savegame, which is either a checkpoint or when you last quit. Once the first chapter is over the checkpoints become rare, which lend the game a rougelike element. You don’t have to start over if you feel the options you picked really ♥♥♥♥♥ you over, but you might have to do a significant amount of gameplay over again.
