I’ve played DS 3, Elden Ring, Lies of p and Sekiro and I must say that Lords of the Fallen is the worst AAA souls-like game and here’s why:
1) Bad optimization – the game was released on 13th of October and now is 1st of January, it became a little bit better but after last updates at the Sanctuary my fps drops from 60 to 30, the fights are even worse, the longer I play the game the lower fps becomes and this is the first game with this kind of problem and that developers released game in such poor state and haven’t fixed everything yet tells me about how poor they treat LOF. First time there were updates every day, now few times in a month but it still needs to be fixed.
Confusing pacing – I’ve never watched on youtube where to go after clearing any zone and this is the first game where I had no idea where tf I’m supposed to go. This is the worst experience in terms of pacing and and this was a joykiller for me, not even fps drop. Vestige seeds – absolutely irritating mechanic, I don’t understand why you have a vestige place and then after 30 sec of walking I see vestige. Why tf you want me to waist a seed if 2 steps and I’m at the vestige. I don’t know who was responsible for this mechanic and placing on the map zones for seeds but this person must be fired.
4) Umbral world: nice idea, but a raw outcome. It has like 3-4 mobs through the whole game and you only use it just to complete game, there is no joy or interest in exploring umbral world. Firework Simulator Auto Fireworks Roblox Scripts
Mobs: I have a feeling that this game was intended for co-op, like for 2 people. There are a lot of freakin mobs + mobs from Umbral world and together the game gives you a Horde of enemies which you have to kill and it’s not enjoyable it’s mostly annoying if you play solo. Sound design is pretty bad, some Voice actors deserve a credit, but overall if we’re talking about a sound of effects, etc. it seems like this is some low budget game.
