HYPER DEMON is what you get if you look at the Devil Daggers formula, think “…how could I make the QOL of this better? How do I skip to the fun part of each run?” and look at ULTRAKILL and go “…but ULTRAKILL doesn’t *force* you to be stylish. Shouldn’t a game force you to be stylish?” So HYPER DEMON’s version of kiting the swarm is setting up situations where you can use a ton of simple mobility tools to rack up a lot of kills, fast. The goal is to kill things quickly, which gives you more things to kill faster. I can already kind of tell where this is eventually going: use the unique mobility options and quirks of each type of core mob to thread the needle through a rapid, choreographed kill bonanza.
