Join the King and Prince of Cosmos on their wacky adventure to restore the stars – now in full HD! The beloved roll-em-up game returns with fully updated graphics, completely recreated cutscenes and in full HD! The game starts you on tutorial island, an empty area where you learn how to control your Katamari ball. This could be extremely frustrating to a new player since the controls are also a 1:1 of the original, meaning that a controller is highly recommended.

One night the King of the Cosmos got drunk and crashed into all the stars, shattering them. The King being scolded by everyone is forced to make all the stars in the sky and forces you, his son The Prince, to help clean up his mess by rolling a Katamari and using those things as as a new star. Once you complete a level the King of the Cosmos will tell you information about the star you made as well as telling you if you need to do better, you can then replay that level anytime or continue to the next level through the story. Replaying the levels and finding routes to try and get as big as you can before the time runs out is the game play loop. There are also challenge levels that require you to roll up the most amount, or frustratingly a single one item, of a certain object.
