Aesthetically, the game is not great: The writing is janky, the characterisation is limited, the models are off, and the graphical engine is at least a generation out of date. What makes this game interesting is the way that it handles the queer stuff, and while that stuff is optional, turning it off means ignoring the meat of the game. A lot of games that feature trans characters are written from a very hetero-normative perspective in that the trend is always towards having a main love interest despite the fact that you are banging everything that moves.
