The developer has fixed the previously identified issues with the rolling stock. The developers – DTM or Digital Train Model – were most helpful in addressing the major issues with this pack. The textures on the red loco have been completely fixed. The cars were also fixed, as a problem with the brake system configuration was identified as the culprit for the sluggishness of the train. I contacted the Developers on their Facebook page – look for Digital Train Model – and they sorted all the aforementioned problems in real time, and swiftly made the appropriate patches to fix these issues. The patches are RWP files which can be installed using TS Utilities. As I write this, Steam does not yet have the updated/corrected version of this add-on.After installing the patches, I find this pack to be a “must have” in your depot, especially if you have the Horse Shoe Curve add-on route.Yes, I do recommend this add-on. Just make sure you get the patches from the Devs after.
They still haven’t figured out that passenger diesels need to be set to 110psi of brake pressure to fully release the brakes on the coaches. It’s right there in the bin files right in front of them and they still haven’t figured it out. Disappointing right off the bat. Sure I can fix it myself but I shouldn’t have to for a $20 product that’s supposedly from such a “reputable” developer as DTM. Making the outside model look nice is one thing, but if they can’t figure out the physics and learn from their previous errors about the braking problems then what are you left with? A nice looking shell. Models like this is where modders shine, because modders will go through the model and find all the bits and problems developers shouldn’t have missed and fix it – for free! DTM is also not very good at their scenarios from what I’ve seen over the years. For one the scenarios are just straight-forward unoriginal A to B scenarios with less than stellar blunt dialogue (“Load passengers”, “You’re ready to depart”), few goals in the middle, no scripting, no camera work, no “flare”, I mean low-level first-time making a scenario rubbish which you would expect from a novice on the workshop – but you’re paying for this! And the scenarios don’t use the actual Broadway Limited timetable. The Broadway traversed Horseshoe Curve at night while the included scenarios have you traverse the route during daylight hours.
