This game was created as my version of a love letter to my partner. Follow the story of Ted as he navigates the abandoned town of Ruddleside amidst the post apocalypse, finding a solitary companion in Diego. Your choices determine whether Diego will bond with Ted and help him continue his search for surviving communities, or whether the pair will face difficulties and challenges that put them at odds with each other whilst trying to escape the horrors within Ruddleside. This was cute! Strange to say about something with gore and post-apocalyptic melancholy, but there you go. I’m gay, so I was pretty much predisposed to enjoy this. The Jackbox Naughty Pack.

I liked the chemistry between the two lead characters (although I agree with some that the VA work for both was veering toward the “flat” side – I think it was mostly fine, however) and the dialogue all felt pretty good and naturalistic. I liked the beginning vignette, which sets the grim expectations for this world and queues up a bunch of choices that will later come back to bite the protagonists. Id say this game is alright. But i dislike how short the game is. i understand its made by one man with no budget but i would have been fine waiting another year or so for double the content.
