Unfortunately, I didn’t like the game in many aspects. I am Slovak and a lover of classic adventure games, so I decided to support the game. The music is nice, the backgrounds are the best in the game, but the animations are boring, lazy, slow. NPCs are very static. Adventure puzzles are not difficult, they are very linear and you know exactly what to do and what will happen next. Sometimes you can get stuck, but only for a while. There are many mini-games that are fun but simple at the same time. So you can finish the game in a few hours. The story is not original at all. I found maybe three bugs. But the worst part for me are the dialogues – they are totally stupid. Nah. please…why? I wish the developer success with other games and let him learn from the mistakes as much as possible. Above all, let him not give up even after the criticism like this one.
The visuals are nice, but that’s it. There’s a story, but it is really just an excuse to glue the puzzles together and is ultimately unfulfilling. A lot of the puzzles are very simple but unintuitive, because it’s not clear which parts of the interface you can and can’t interact with. Speech bubbles last entirely too long, so you’re sitting around waiting for them to finish so you can actually get back to what you’re doing. Using items from your inventory feels clunky too, because there’s nothing to indicate that you’ve positioned the item correctly, not even the name of the object you’re trying to interact with. I finished this game in less than four hours. Ultimately this felt more like a demo or prologue for another game, especially the ending. Cool world though, it showed a lot of promise.Apart from its cool visual design, Life of Delta is a mediocre point-and-click adventure game. It starts off on the wrong foot, with clunky movement and interaction. Without much story, it is hard to stay interested.
