Overall, this has proved a well priced and very enjoyable puzzle city-builder game. I wasn’t even aware that this genre existed until playing Citizens: Far Lands, but I can now say I’m glad it does as I’ve had a lot of fun so far with this game and I look forward to exploring the rest of it.
As you get to grips with the do-s and don’t-s of building your settlements, you will make mistakes and feel foolish for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory – but this is never frustrating enough to stop you from jumping right back in again for another go. This time I’ll pay more attention to my resources and less attention to the giant octopus staring at my (barely) developing town from his high horse across the ocean. Maybe I’d be doing better if he got off his rock and used his eight arms to help build more farms to help feed my starving populace so I can squeeze more taxes out of them…
Judgemental cephalopods aside, Citizens: Far Lands provides a good amount of content with easy-to-jump-in-and-out-of gameplay, all wrapped up in a charming soundtrack and charming graphics, that has clearly come from a passionate dev team. You might find that a level proves challenging but it will keep you coming back for the win (even if it’s just to spite the octopus who never thought you’d get anywhere) Firework Simulator Auto Fireworks Roblox Scripts
SO much fun! I played the demo and really loved it, and was so excited to try it in release. It’s a great mix of puzzle, city building, and a bit of RTS. I would say it’s great for people who love the puzzle games (think Islanders) and wanted to have something that went a touch farther into a city builder/mild combat. I will say one thing – it can get challenging! I’m still learning all the parts, and find myself stuck on quite a few levels. But I definitely enjoy the challenge. I hope the game gets more reviews as I do know that some indie games aren’t marketed as much in steam as others.
