Enjoyable Power Sim game, very easy to learn, handle and great for all ages! Power to the People does not require much in the way of CPU or GPU and runs very well on my old rig! I did find that the game can get frustrating once you start blowing the lines but that is the game and what keeps you going for more!
On the other hand, I noted that you could not use RMB to rotate the screen as it was allocated to another function and the Q-E keys where the alliterative to that. Just wish the rotation was continuous rather then in a jerking rotational motion. Not a big deal when you think about the over all picture, the price is nice, the replay value is good and Power to the People is and all around fun game. Great Job!
In my opinion the game could be balanced a little bit better by leveraging a bit more on renewable energy, albeit I know this is not easy to do. At the moment the choice to go with renewable energy is almost purely player preference and in-game is not enough rewarding for its cost. In general and in most maps the gas-fired plant is too powerful, from the start of the game you can build them far away for relatively low cost and have a very high stable output (easy power the first 2 cities for the first 15-20 days). NIMBY rating is not enough effective as you can quite easily build far away, at the edge of the map. There should be some kind of base penalty for non-renewable energy production while renewable energy like solar, wind and dams should have zero NIMBY rating (they cost a lot more but still you have to place them quite far away from the city considering the expansion).
