Your nightmare haunts you every night, but… are they really nightmares? You better survive them! You play the role of a child facing three monsters during the night, your goal being to spend the night while escaping them: feed the monster under the bed and turn off the light (it only tolerates light for a short time), hide from the monster in the hallway, keep looking at the monstre who turn the light red, and don’t forget to get some sleep, the monster under the bed feeds on your weariness. Respond to the mysterious child who leaves you notes to help each other and, perhaps, overcome this endless spiral of nightmares. You are afraid of the dark, so you sleep better with the light on.

Each is thematically distinct from the last with minor puzzles that build upon the powers gained in the previous island. Throughout all of this, you are constantly trying to avoid the night, and the madness that comes along with it. Ghost ships, various eldritch monsters, and freaky natural phenomena all make the night a dangerous time for fishing I had a great time exploring all the areas and uncovering secrets, there’s this ever present sense of uneasiness that permeates the waters that you traverse, you can really feel the amount of love that was put into crafting the world and atmosphere in the game.
