Spear Song is inspired by Slavic folklore and fairytales. Colorful graphics will allow you to dive into this fantasy kingdom with knights fighting against authentic Slavic villains. Lead a squad of various characters and combine their skills to defeat the enemies! Evil spirits have invaded the kingdom, ghouls roam the fields, and a giant three-headed dragon terrorizes the countryside. Knights are continuously going on crusades from the capital to clear the land from evil creatures. All previous attempts have failed, but now the fate of the kingdom is in your hands. Difficulty: After winning demo without getting hit a single time and obliterating the boss in a single turn, I started a campaign. I was taking the damage regularly and even lost one warrior early on. Starting group isn’t really that well composed, but still. It is more difficult as I’d hoped and certainly poses a challenge to first time players regardless of general experience in strategy games. Probably too much for casual players and gaming journalists won’t may not pass tutorial. All voice acting is in Russian which I slightly understand. I think the game in Slavic world is probably even better this way, but someone that doesn’t catch a single word may feel left off. I often laugh at jokes I didn’t laugh at before, it makes the game lively and I think it is exceptionally narrated.
