Wildkeepers Rising is a roguelite RPG bullet heaven where you’ll tame and train a diverse team of Guardian beasts to destroy the invading monster hordes. With some RPG story-elements in between, you’ll face hand-drawn fantasy monsters inspired by the worlds of Akira Toriyama and Jim Henson. This game is fun and has been rated pretty harshly so far in my opinion. I play many games in this genre and the ability to select 4 guardians (out of approx 25) to fight with the main hero was a refreshing variation over fighting solo. Rather than just upgrading a hero you select upgrades between the hero and the 4 selected guardians and control the guardians unique ultimate abilities too.

The game has about 10-12 hours of content from a clear save to just beating the 3 areas that are out right now in early access. There is a good base with potential to build on. It seems like a lot of the negative reviews are because people see the potential and want more. Since it’s still an early access game, It would be nice to see what they would implement when it comes to late game progression. Also every single creature can be obtained with the easiest mode in each mission, the player gain nothing other than currencies in harder difficulty [which turns useless real fast mid-late game] it would be nice if they add more specific meta perks corresponding each creature as an additional reward the such difficulties.
