The games pace with levels can start to wear: when you’re getting into 20 minutes levels with a lot of customers, and you make one mistake that isn’t easily recoverable, you will start to get frustrated. Abra-Cooking-Dabra is an alright game that is at times good, but feels like it could be great with the right changes control wise. The core formula works in constructing dishes, and when the game is hitting on all cyclinders: providing a little stress but allowing you to succeed using the pause function, you can be really enjoying yourself in that OCD like manner. The slight presentation flourishes help to keep things visually stimulating without being over the top, and the UI tooltips/recipe system does a great job in allowing flexibility. The loop of gameplay is calming but not to the point where it puts you to sleep.
