CLEARED HOT is a nostalgic helicopter shooter with satisfying physics and light tactical elements. Shoot, dodge, move your squad around the battlefield, and pick up almost anything with your rope and magnet. With fully physics-based action, you can get creative and use the environment to your advantage. Send enemies ragdolling through the air with your rockets, or use your rope to throw rocks at the enemy. Transport your squad to take enemy territory, or position them to defend your own base. Deploy them wisely to complete your objectives, and try not to drop too many along the way. Haul a**…and just about anything else. Redirect heat seeking missiles. Clear Hot lets me relive this childhood dream! Inspired by the classic Desert Strike (the game I saw as a kid), everything felt just like what I remembered, with modern controls and 3D graphics. The music was lit and combat was intense, and it even expanded the original concept with your own base. Being a fellow indie developer, I can feel the love and excitement of the devs! Camera work is going to be the most challenging part to develop, I went through the same troubles working on Tunguska: The Visitation. It’s a constant battle between motion sickness and not able to see far enough and getting shot by enemies outside the screen – a signature problem for top-down view shooters.
