Easy Delivery Co. is a relaxing driving game, with definitely no secrets. You’ve been hired as a delivery driver in a once-lively scenic mountain town now plagued with inhospitable weather. Make deliveries and uncover the story of the town’s not-at-all mysterious residents, all while earning well below minimum wage. The sheer nostalgia is woven through multiple layers, from the retro CRT look to my own memories of living in incredibly snowy places. It brings me some of the same joy I had driving on empty grey roads, that weird sense of comforting isolation that envelops you. The driving here is just as fun and slippery, although I can’t claim to have ever tackled snowdrifts that large while careening down the road. Ratatan

That’s all set between a chill soundtrack, quirky characters, interesting QoL choices baked into the design, and a fair mix of not overly punishing the player while still making you shoulder a little bit of management and map responsibility. Fun little game. It took me about 5 hours to finish, meaning it never outstays its welcome and can therefore be a solid choice for gamers with little time on their hands; personally, I liked it so much I can actually see myself going back to it to do further deliveries and explore even more of the world. I mean, sure, some of the mechanics could’ve been expanded upon (I wanted to be able to undertake multiple deliveries at the same time, for example), and it would’ve been nice to have more side activities to get distracted by, but still – Easy Delivery Co.
