Absolutely awful! UI is trash… just stick to the cursor EA like come on! The game is awful, much of the game is just talking for 5 minutes straight. When trying to get to the garage after the race, I fell under the map 3 times and, my PC specs are better than recommended. Ridiculous amount of popups when driving! they always make me crash in the game. Whenever i change the volume on my computer in the game it doesn’t let me click the volume button for the next few days, I have to go into settings to change the volume. It isn’t even realistic at all. The traffic sucks they always are cutting you off and braking in front of you when your trying to pass. Police come after me when I’m not even breaking the speed limit. The dialogue is so quiet. Controls suck.

This game is not nearly as bad as critics made it out to be at launch. What they mention about the actors and handling is true to an extent, but severly exaggerated. Handling mostly depends on your tuning style and can be easily got used to, and the acting, while sometimes cringe yes, is not nearly as bad as people say. Performance tuning is alright, but the visual tuning is absolutely terrific, I can spend hours in the garage tweaking and customizing everything on my cars.

It’s very clear from the very first minutes of the game that this specific installment of the franchise got most of it’s inspiration from Underground, and while it doesn’t neccesarily try to be an Underground 3, it definitely has those vibes. Tuners, tuners everywhere, always nighttime, great soundtrack, awesome tuning, I love it.

Customizations are there but I’ve played racing games with more. Save money to buy cars and parts. Car wraps are nice and easy to find with the community tabs. I also saw a review where someone said the handling was the worst in the series and I actually almost didn’t buy this game specifically because of that. I’m glad I decided to get it anyways because it’s actually the most customizable handling system I’ve seen in an arcade racer. Not only can you adjust the sensitivity and dead zones like usual. They have sliders for varies aspects of the car, like tire pressure, steer response and steer range, drift assists, launch controls, etc. After hours of game time and adjustments I was able to get the handling to perfection.

Graphics are beautiful. The lights shimmering off the rain puddles on the road and the building lights reflecting off your windows as you fly down the roads at speeds above 150mph just looks great and feels exhilarating.The addition of gymkhana, even tho it’s kinda poorly done was a nice surprise. Even more of when seeing Ken Block actually show up later.Alldrive mode is pretty neat as well. There’s a mix of AI and online racers, all racing about. You can challenge them to a quick street race or invite/join story races with other online racers. That with daily challenges and other online modes/races make the replayability higher than I expected.
