Every level starts you with a pistol and through the various weapon machines littered throughout the map, you can purchase a random weapon to use in the level for free, with subsequent purchases from the same machine increasing incrementally in cost (you receive money from killing enemies). The more traditional roguelite elements are more prominent in the meta-progression elements. Much like upgrades in other roguelites, the weapon loot pool can be expanded by purchasing them with money. Additionally, you can upgrade the damage of individual weapons or upgrade their odds of spawning when using a weapon machine.
