Outpath Direct Download:
Taking Satisfactory, Forager and the gratifying gameplay loop of clicker idle games as references, Outpath would be just that. Exploit your environment, craft, build and automate your base in this 3D first-person platformer! Gather. Craft. Build. Explore. Relax. No time limits, no pressure, play at your own pace and style. You start by having to click multiple times, eventually you get better tools. At some point clicking gets tedious itself, you get the ability to click and hold. Then running around doing it yourself is tedious, you get what are effectively auto miners. Then bigger ones. They apparently just added a new game mode that removes hunger/energy which while never a threat per se, was a great example of the active dev listening to people.
It removes one side of the logistic puzzle in favor of “if you just want to play it and afk sometimes” because to each their own. Its building style feels smooth too, being able to customize your train to almost any shape you want, with the cost of building gradually getting more expensive with each thing you make that’s bigger. As a train lover i love the details that went into making the steam engine, having to keep it fueled with coal, wood, or fat along with ice you find along the way really makes it more enjoyable as well as challenging to keep going.
