Very scary game. The ambience is perfect, the environment is spooky and hearing the sounds from the monster and everything is nerveracking. Literally best horror game I’ve played in awhile. Very short game but still a great game to try especially created by one developer! Definitely worth checking out! The fear of being constantly surrounded by things looking to shake you up and make things difficult as you try to escape was fun! Recommend to gamers looking for a short horror game to try and show some support to a developer with great promise! A variety of sounds, jumpscares, and lurking things await you!
I will say however that there are two annoying things here. The shear amount of jumpscares placed in the maze is just too much. Sometimes it keeps it tense but most of the time its just kind of annoying when Im doing things and suddenly I get jumpscared 3 times in the same pathway. The second issue, is theres too many babys/maze is too big. I was floored when I saw I needed to collect over 9 of them with a map this big. Its neat but because most of the map is well, trench with a tiny difference here and there, it might take awhile (That and I suck). I’d reduce the number of babs to like 5-6.
Not too shabby of a game. It is still for sure a work in progress and needs some polish but pretty fun and had a lot of jump scares. If I had to pick out some stuff I didn’t like I would probably say the number of dolls you need to collect is too much or at least have them be in set spots so you don’t have as much back tracking to the other areas you have already explored. Also I am not sure if it was because I was moving faster than I should throughout the trenches but there were a couple times the jump scares would happen right after another over and over again and it seemed like they needed to be spaced out to give you more of a scare or else it felt kind of forced. Overall it ran great and looked great and gave a good horror atmosphere. I would say it is worth playing. If you want to see some game play you can check out my video below.
