While not in the same league as one of the full fidelity modules in DCS, there is a LOT here to sink your teeth into. Thankfully, almost everyone online (in my experience) is just wanting to have fun and help everyone enjoy this wonderful gem of a game online. Don’t be afraid to ask questions while everyone is yelling out “Rifle”, “Fox 3” or whatnot…this game is best played with people.

I used to be a DCS cuk; then I stepped into the wonderful world of VR and now my bank account is slowly recovering from the insane amounts of money spent on flight sim gear. I no longer have nightmares about the rudder pedals and HOTAS in my closet, I no longer fear sleeping with my ass hanging off the side of the bed worried that a gang of $80 modules will come have their way with me. This game is liberating in more ways than one. VTOL VR for me is the best combination of 90s style light-sim (as it simulates all major flight and system mechanics of modern planes,

but keeps the controls and situational awareness on acceptable gameplay level and fun) and combines it excellently with VR mechanics to give unchallenged immersion as you never have to reach for keyboard like in other sims. Editor is excellent, the only last things I need is a dedicated server (not promised yet, but I can hope) so that we can have a 24/7 multiplayer wars hosted like in DCS. But even with what we have you can build a good mission to play solo or with friends in literally minutes, or keep building complex scenarios for hours. It is really intuitive.
