These are an excellent addition, and super fun. What could make them better is the implementation of a countdown timer when opening the inventory. To keep less clutter off the screen I was thinking you could have the icon be like a progress bar going down vertically, like how in Windows the download progress bar goes across. I like how it blinks near the end of it’s lifetime, but I feel having it go down like that would be a better indicator as to how much time is left on it.
