If you, like me, are looking for a game to replace BoxVR for your daily exercise, this ticks all the boxes. Not only does it deliver a more fun experience in terms of gameplay and visuals, but the biggest advantage is how much easier it is adding your own music to the game. The track generation and variety is perfect and customizable to your own preferences, nothing beats exercising to your own favorite music. This is also one of the few games I’ve bought a non-PCVR copy of on the Quest 2 so I can bring it with me on the go as well.
It lags for me. I’m playing on the Quest 1 through Virtual Desktop. I have a really good computer though, and I mean…I can play Half Life Alyx with no problem, so I should be able to play this. But things just slow down or freeze, so I miss a lot of marks, and it’s frustrating. I definitely can’t play in a more intense mode. I wonder if a graphics setting would help? I would prefer it to work on high settings, but at least until this game is optimized, maybe some setting to turn down particles or something to make it run better?
Wow, I love this game. It’s the most fun I have ever had exercising. The fact that you can use your own music is the biggest reason that I love this. I have specific and uncommon taste in music. Stuff like Weird Al and They Might Be Giants and show tunes. You never get that kind of music included in rhythm games so I need to add it myself and this game does a great job crating a routine out of your own files. It’s also fun with a variety of styles mashed together and customizable in what to include and how challenging. My only major want is more environments. Maybe put a video player in there .
