Mage & Monsters 2 is an active auto battler, where you choose to either enhance the strength of your hero, reinforce the might of your army, or increase the power of your spells. I do really wish it some kind of currency type upgrade system to give a little progression backing to it, mainly because being rewarded in a practical way for builds popping off in these sorts of games always feels good. Alternatively just one or two hero unlocks for progressing a certain amount into endless or beating a high difficulty or exacting challenge would have been nice to give you motivation to try more things. This game has been a blast! The negative reviews are complaining about stuff that doesn’t even really apply to this kind of game. It’s basically mindless fun after clicking a few times to make choices. Decently priced and tons of customization and unlocks and stuff Despite the genre standard of auto-battlers, this game has much more to do than just click a few upgrades and sit back. The heroes you play demand different strategies and tactics and unit synergy is a big part of your success. Even while you troops are attacking, most characters have spells or others ways to influence your battle.
