Terminator Resistance is a first-person shooter action role-playing video game. The game is set in Los Angeles and acts as a prequel to famous Terminator series films namely Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2 Judgement Day. The sixth film in the Terminator series namely Terminator Dark Fate was released shortly after the game so the game does not have any connection to the Terminator Dark Fate. It also tracks Sarah to a night club however, the human soldier rescues her. On the other hand, pair steal a car and escape with the Terminator pursuing them in a police car. After hiding in a parking lot the human soldier explains to Sarah that an artificial intelligence network has become self-aware and will soon launch a nuclear attack in the near future.

Sarah’s future son John will lead the resistance movement against the robots and it army of machines. When the resistance movement is on the verge of victory the artificial intelligent network sends the Terminator back to the time in order to kill Sarah before John is born in order to end the resistance. The terminator is a powerful killing machine with an internal layer of living that allow it to be like humans.
