Voidigo is a chaotic and colorful roguelite shooter with a focus on dynamic boss fights. Equip one of the many ranged weapons and fight back the corruption. This game is among the best, in fact, the greatest action-roguelike in recent memory, imo. You probably never heard of this game; neither did I. That’s because the game flew under the radar for years. It was also included in the Humble Bundle December Drop back in 2021. Voidigo not only excels in the visual development department, but also perfects it.

This is because the game showcases such rich pixel art and diversely vivid color palette to boot. Great polish, tight controls, and the utmost attention to detail, this game is a masterwork of originality and intrigue. The art direction being fantastic aside, I have never experienced such devices both visual and mechanical, working together so flawlessly. Everything from the sprites to the outlandish landscapes, perfectly done.

Its whimsical cast of playable heroes are all unique, diverse, and with their own arsenal of weapons and passives. Here’s what sets Voidigo apart from the rest afaik, said items aren’t exclusive to that specific hero. This means they are interchangeable between all heroes; stack-able, upgradable, and tradable allowing for just a good ol’ fashioned, wacky ol’ time.

When I mean wacky, I mean balls to the wall wacky. Your guns not only kick ass, they also kiss you if they aren’t too busy breathing so hard. Yes, that kind of wacky…The replay value? Nothing short of substantially amazing! Put in over three hundred hours on this puppy (348 hours played during time of review) and yet still feel as if I ‘m just beginning to hone in on the mechanics, discovering and unlocking things, overlooked or new,
